WIN MY GEAR
WIN MY GEAR
Before you think I cleaning out my old gear or my wife is making have that “guyrage sale” she keeps threatening me with when I’m gone, fear not!
This is the chance for you to win the gear that I use or gear the we have acquired to ease the spending woes of the sportsmen and women of Michigan.
Several of my friends have come together to give you the chance to win anything from VS-1 from Border Crossing Scents, a Hang On tree stand from Family Traditon treestands or a Roscoby Riser cam. Prizes that range from $15.00 to $400.00!
Weekly winners will be drawn and all you have to do is register to win. If you would like to be notified of weekly winners and when new prizes will be added, just shoot me an email and I will put you on the AM Outdoors mailing list.
This list does not get shared with anyone! I hope you will sign up and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

This Weeks Show 8/1 - 8/2 2009
IT’S ABOUT TIME!
If I had a nickel for every time I started a new blog, Michigan’s unemployment rate would be down to 6%. Seriously though, believe me when I say that I feel the pain of those out of work. But the upside is, I have time to focus on the website and getting this show into every home and car radio in Michigan. There, enough complaining.
THIS WEEKS GUESTS
Having more time means a better show. I am happy to say that we have a great lineup this week and I am very proud of the show we have for you.
MI DNR Director, Rebecca Humphries- We will talk with the Michigan DNR Director to cover the new “Pure Michigan Hunt” that was unveiled by the Director and Lieutenant Governor John Cherry on Monday. Three lucky Michigan hunters will be given the opportunity of a lifetime!
Dennis Ball - USA Custom Rods - Guys love camouflage, and were finding out that ladies do too…if it’s pink. So why not a great fishing rod in Mossy Oak “Break Up” or “Duck Blind?” Or how about pink camo for the ladies? Dennis Ball will have the info on why camo is the hottest new look in fishing rods and what benefits they can provide.
Jimmy Houston - Bass Pro legend Jimmy Houston joins us for conversation on his early career start, family and we even get a few tips from the man himself. Jimmy is a hall of famer that has graced America’s television sets for over 25 years and has sent more fish off with a kiss than most anglers have caught in a lifetime. This is a fun interview that you will want to catch for yourself.
The Knife Trader - After returning home from a relaxing family vacation from Michigan’s north country, I tried to fillet a trout that my daughter caught at a kids pond in St. Ignace. After disgracing the memory of this poor fish with about three dull knives (I could have found more, but three was all I could stomach without going crazy) I thought knife sharpening techniques and products would be a good topic for discussion. Listen to what advice Don from the Knife Trader in Lansing has to offer. You can also give him a call at (517)336-9010. Let him know you heard it from AM Outdoors!
Tom Nelson - Rounding out our time, Time Nelson, Host of the American Archer television show checks in with an update from his latest trip to Africa. You can also see and talk to Tom in person at Cabela’s in Dundee, MI both Saturday and Sunday August 1st and 2nd.
Finally, I must sincerely apologize for the delay in updating the site. It needs it, I know. I will be working on it and we will be launching the new “Win My Gear” contest this month! Check out the show to find out more.
Tight lines and good hunting! I’ll see you on the trail ahead…
